What Can I Do To Avoid Bruising Altogether?

Bruising is a nasty thing and some of us will be far more affected by bruising than others. Bruising can happen particularly as we age and our skin becomes less protected. Bruising is far from a risk to your health. However, they are not things that people enjoy getting and therefore there are things that can be done to prevent them. So, what can i do to prevent bruising altogether? well, there are several things that you might want to try.
The first thing to do is to make sure that you cover all of the areas where you frequently bruise with protective clothing.its important to wear longer items of clothing such as long sleeves if you bruise on your arms. Consult your doctor as to what sorts of clothes you could wear that will be most effective but not affect your clothing style too much. You should also ensure that you take protective measures by avoiding activities where you do suffer from bruising on a regular basis. Unless you participate in some sort of sport that causes you to bruise and that you do not want to give up, you should generally look to avoid situations where you might bruise in your everyday life.
Something else that can cause you to bruise easily is a lack of vitamin K. If you do not get enough of this vitamin, the blood can fail to clot properly. If you are prone to bruising then you should ensure that you take in more green vegetables which are high in the vitamin. Things like broccoli and cabbage are great options to incorporate into your diet.
Another reason that you might be seeing bruises appear for no discernible reason is that you you are not getting sufficient amounts of vitamin C into your diet as well. This vitamin is important in making sure that the capillary walls are strong and therefore do not leak blood which can result in bruising. You can get this vitamin from all sorts of different fruits and fruit juices. If you find that your diet is lacking in things like fruit and vegetables then its important you start to eat them on a regular basis. If you don’t then getting a multivitamin supplement is a good alternative.
There is only so much you can do to make sure that you do not bruise but naturally you will bruise from time to time whatever you do. You can use something called arnica cream on a bruise when this does happen. Rub this in several times each day to the affected area.
You can also use hydrotherapy. All you need for this is a couple of cloths. Soak one in cold water and another in hot. Then put the hot one on your bruise and leave it for three minutes before removing it and placing the cold on on the bruise for thirty seconds. Repeat this about four times daily until your notice the bruise disappear.
You can also look to use aromatherapy by spreading oils over the bruise and then covering up the area with a bandage. Make sure that you don’t wrap it all up too tight however, as this will not allow any room for the skin to breath.
These are the best ways to prevent and reduce bruising.
